sitting this evening with friends chilling out as you do, most of them anti-global capitalists and coca cola came up into the conversation.. you know, we couldn't come up with anything that essentially this giant corporation was doing or has done that might affect adversely other people elsewhere.
all they produce is one bloody great drink that everyone loves.. anyone else heard of or have something on this corporation?.
here's cheers to coke!!.

it is always interesting to note the blasphemy and the be-littling of higher powers.
how dare you all question god?
how dare you all think that with your puny little brains you have conquered the mysteries and understandings of life?
FRANCOIS: "God don't do nuthin' but roll around heaven all day and get blow jobs from seraphim. In fact, that's what "seraphim" means: sera means teeth in Spanish, and phim means sticky dicky in heaven talk, hence sticky dicky between the teeth"
At least Francois is HONEST!
"Honest"....ooohhhhh THAT's the word for some of his writings - I knew it wasn't "Class".
someone i know recently attended one of the kingdom ministry schools for elders.
he indicated that after one session, he approached a speaker and told him how much he enjoyed the man's speech.
the speaker replied, "jehovah's blessing.".
Sounds more like a reply to a JW sneeze.

Excellent, excellent post! Kudos... I, like you have never been a JW, but strongly believe in God. I've asked JW's several times on this board to prove to me why the Witnesses are the Truth...it still goes unanswered...I really believe that there are JW's who do not want to truly examine their beliefs, because if they did, they would have to face the fact that they have invested so much with very little return...and for some, that would be devastating.
looks like someone on this forum hates this word hope.
hope is a great thing to have for all christain.. it is one of the best things a true christain can have.. the bible gives us alot of hope.. lets use it in our everyday lives.
we have bible understanding threw research do we not?
Great post JGNat, and WELCOME to the board!
if you have ever been in a accident, or a situation that is life threatening.
then you will understand "life passing before your eyes", when time seems to slow and the seconds became hours.
when everything looks different and things seem a little more in color.. .
Beautiful poem Beck...Thanks...it made my day.
By the way, re time slowing down, when I was 19 I was in a head-on colision, where I went through the windshield (that was before seat belts were the law). From the time the cars collided and I went through the glass and back into the car was a split second, but in my mind, everything slowed down tremendously...it was like wading through glue...it felt like 10 seconds. Weird experience...I didn't see angels or anything, just heard a spectator open up my car door and say something like "I think this ones dead" .. I came to , shook my head and said "No I'm not"....
No injuries, accept a bump on the head and bruised stomach muscles (where I bent the steering wheel).
i feel like i'm watching a movie.
reading these posts seems to transform reality into a time and a land which exists partly in a haze of real and where am i now.
once you had a grip and understanding of who you were.
Mackin..
Your reasoning is SO WatchtowerPah-leeeeze... you've got to do better than that. My reasoning is my reasoning, it has nothing to do with the Watchtower...remember, I've never been a DUB.
.
here's a little pic, i finally figured out how to hook the scanner up to my new computer.
hope the little girl isn't as slow as grandpa..
Them thars two cutie patooties.... thnx fur sharing the pix (at least you're ahead of the game, I'm still trying to figure out "pictures" on the internet...I have a mental block..you'd think I was trying to sign up for a nuclear physics class or something)
Again, loved the pictures LB!
all three of the major "sects" have had prophetic failures, and all three have used the same reasonings and rationalizations to explain their prophetic "disappointment".
the most outstanding example of this from mormonism is presented for your edification.
many of the reasonings will be familiar to students of witness failed prophecies.
In the first half of the 19th century there were numerous religious sects trying to establish a 'Zion' society...the Mormans were just one of many. The North Eastern part of the U.S. seem to be where the majority of these 'sects' were established. The Shaker community tried their darndest, but was self defeating with their doctrine of celebacy (duh).
The Mormans (mostly from the North) put quite a foothold in Missouri, but were 'driven' out, in a large part because of politics. A pro-slavery/Southern sentiment by many Missourians drove out a lot of their "northern" leaning neighbors...however, with the Mormons the Govenor signed an extermination order on all Mormans...to be driven out or killed.

thanks to everyone here who welcomed me two weeks ago.
my intention when i first came to the site was to simply find information and see what others were saying about the jw organisation, then i felt inclined to post myself, including sharing my personal experiences.
New Way...
Thanks for your "brief", but very likeable visit. I throughly enjoyed your intelligent posts and will miss them. As the others have said, please stop by every so often, if just for a quick 'hi'.
As a great 'thinker' once said... "To infinity and Beyond"!
Cheers!
